100+ Natural Fabric Sundresses

Sharing is good karma!

There’s really nothing better than a good sundress in the summer. Except, of course, a good sundress that is made of 100% natural fabrics. I was disturbed to learn that a popular women’s media outlet pushing their new “perfect sundress” that is made from 100% rayon. Instead of getting bitter (okay, I actually still am bitter about it) I decided to do better. I rounded up over 100 sundresses made from cotton, linen, cashmere and silk. Here are 100+ Natural Fabric Sundresses!

Why Natural Fabric Sundresses?

Without going too deep (because I know you’re here for the dresses): plastic fabrics aren’t only harmful to the earth – they’re harmful to women. Fabrics like rayon, polyester, nylon, spandex, microfiber and acrylic (just naming a few) are full of things like micro-plastics, heavy metals and formaldehyde (again, just naming a few). Not only do these toxins seep into the earth (because these fabrics don’t disintegrate well) but they’re seeping into us. These synthetic fabrics are linked to heath issues like liver damage, cancers like leukemia and lymphoma, and a slew of fertility issues.

The thing that kills me the most about the “perfect sundress” that this “feminine magazine” is pushing is that they’re claiming it can “fix fertility”.

Yet, it’s made of rayon – which is an endocrine disrupter. Endocrine disruptors (like the chemicals found in synthetic fabrics) can affect women’s fertility by mimicking or blocking hormones that regulate the reproductive system. This interference can lead to issues like irregular menstrual cycles, difficulties in ovulation, issues getting pregnant or problems with embryo development. As a result, these chemicals can make it harder for women to conceive and maintain a healthy pregnancy.

So, essentially, their idea of a “perfect sundress” is a sundress that will make a man want to f*ck you while simultaneously f*cking up your hormones? Got it.😵‍💫
