Things I Loved: April 2024

Sharing is good karma!

April was a really challenging month for me. I lost my grandmother on April 23rd and my dog passed away on April 25th. I’m currently going to publish this article on May 24th. It’s taken about the whole month for me to find my footing again. While April was definitely one of the hardest months I’ve had in a while… that’s not to say that it didn’t also have it’s wonderful moments, as well. Here are the things I loved in April 2024.

Kundalini Yoga

First and foremost I have to shoutout my kundalini practice. This practice helped me to stay present with my grief… to giving it the time and space it needed without losing myself in the process. My spiritual practices, especially kundalini, really helped to support me throughout the month of April. So much so that I made a video about it on YouTube! You can click below to watch.

I’m very close with my family and my family means the world to me. I also am a huge believer in signs and synchronicities. About two weeks before my grandma passed I saw the below left license plate. About 5 minutes later I saw the below right license plate. I took it as a sign from God to be thankful for my family and reminding me how blessed I am.

April Flowers

Nearly every month I place “flowers” on this list of the things I loved – because I love flowers so much.πŸ₯°πŸ’–

The rose below was from the day of my grandmothers funeral.πŸ’– And the others below are all the beautiful spring flowers that were in bloom in April!

If you know me – you know I love a good sunset. I even removed my screen out of my bedroom window in April so that I could hang out of the window frame to see the sunset better.

Beach Days

I am a proper sun baby so when the sun started coming out brighter and stronger in April – I was a happy camper. I had two really good beach days in April!

Shorts Szn

I was soooooo happy when the weather finally switched in April! It was finally warm enough to wear some shorts to the gym.

Cute Lighting

I like to talk about the importance of slow living. One of the reasons I adopted a slower lifestyle was to find moments to appreciate that you would never notice in a more fast paced lifestyle. Something like the reflection of the sun through my mug of tea in the morning used to easily go unnoticed. But, now, these moments are some of my favorite parts of the day!

My Fave ManiπŸ’…πŸΌ

I LOVE LOVE LOVE a French manicure and my favorite manicure is pairing “sugar daddy” with “trophy wife“. Can you name a better duo, honestly?

This Vibe

I used to eat at this restaurant ALL THE TIME when I was younger. I took my cousin there after picking him up for school recently and they had re-did the entire interior. I was so here for the vibe.

If you know me, you know I love a little weed. πŸ˜… Getting dressed in my 4/20 greens was one of the things I loved about April.

A Full Moon

The full moon in Scorpio fell on the same day that my grandma passed away and it felt particularly potent. It also felt like a big comfort to see the big beautiful moon that night.

April definitely wasn’t the easiest month for me. But, thankfully, this practice of keeping up with the things I loved, even in a month full of challenges, helps me to maintain my positive mentality. What were some of the things you were grateful for in April?
