Things I Loved: September 2023

Sharing is good karma!

I know I’ve said this a lot in my past “things I loved” articles but – I can’t believe how fast this past month went. And speaking of time going by quickly… it has officially been a year of “things I loved” here on my website! I first started the things I loved in September of 2022. And even that feels like it was yesterday. September 2023 really flew by. We also had a ton of rain and those days indoors started to blur together. Making time go by even quicker! While it was a fast month – there were also many moments to be grateful for. Here are the things I loved: September 2023.

Things I Loved: September 2023 All Things Autumn🍁🍂

Autumn Sunsets

Oh, autumn.💛🍁 I wrote about how I loved the first signs of autumn last month. This month I loved how autumn rolled in ready to go. Autumn rolled in with beautiful sunsetting skies! I always love the sunsets in the colder months. They feel like a consolation prize. “The sun may be setting earlier but look how beautiful they are!” 😅

Autumn Harvest

Piggybacking off of autumn sunsets was the autumn harvest. Autumn is such a beautifully abundant time of the year and the garden is in full on production mode. From a tiny green bean that sprouted in it’s shell to the delicious hot sauce we made with ingredients from the garden to huge daily harvests to tomatoes in all their glory to the fire cider we started brewing with ingredients we grew – September was a great month in the garden!

Autumn Pinks

I *love* the color pink and all things feminine. Autumn typically is a month where we think of oranges, browns and earthy tones. But, I love to work some pink into my outfits and got to bust out my favorite blush pink rain coat this month! Our rose bush also started a new bloom after being pretty dormant from a big trimming earlier this year and the pink buds looked to pretty under the September rain drops.

Autumn Decor

I don’t have a ton of seasonal decor but I do have a set of velvet pumpkins that I’m obsessed with. I was so happy to put them out this autumn!

This Cute Little Pineapple

I love palm-trees and palm plants.. all tropical flora, really. I even have a palm tree tattooed on my hand! Imagine my surprise when walking out of the grocery store… at the beginning of autumn… to see PINEAPPLE PLANTS. So. Random. So. Cute. These tiny little pineapple plants brought me SO MUCH JOY in September and was one of the things I loved so much.

Cheeky Little Signs + Syncs

If you know me – you know I love a good sign from God or synchronicity and September had so many of them!😭 Typically, when I’m in those moments – I’m in those moments. I don’t really catch them on camera. However, This month I caught a few! I often as God (or “the Universe”) to show me specific signs that I’m on the right path and recently I asked to see signs in the form of rainbows. I was outside hanging laundry on a bright sunny day and I looked up and there was a big rainbow in the sky! I also really felt, so strongly, that the last few weeks was very heart and sacral based. The heart chakra color is green and the sacral chakra color is orange. The solar plexus, in between the heart and sacral, is yellow. The first day after all of the rain the sun was shining and shimmering all hues of orange, yellow and green.🥲🧡💛💚

Big Releases and Deep Gratitude

Of all the things that happened in September – some spiritual shifts I had were the biggest. I released so much old stagnant emotions, stories, patterns and stuff out of my body in yin yoga and feel physically so much lighter. I also had a few, very deep, days of gratitude where all I could do was cry during the day because of how grateful I was/am. I documented one of those emotional reflections on my growth in a recent YouTube video.🔮💙✨

Lots of Fun New Content

September, just like August, was a busy month for this blog and my YouTube! I started posting YouTube Shorts in September and am having fun over there! I also started a “Mindset Monday” series where each Monday I’ll be sharing tips/tricks to manage the mind. I started the series with:

THE POWER OF THE SUBCONSCIOUS MIND + MY NUMBER ONE TIP FOR REPROGRAMMING THE SUBCONSCIOUS MIND

and

HOW THE SIMPLE PRACTICE OF DAILY GRATITUDE JOURNALING CHANGED MY LIFE

I also write a bunch of new articles including:

How I Cured my Asthma

Things I’m Doing this Autumn to Support my Mind, Body & Soul

All in all, September was a beautiful month with many beautiful moments! I’m so excited to be going deeper into autumn and can’t wait to see what the rest of the year/season has in store for me. What were you grateful for in September?
